The Palace Theatre Ratings Policy:

Rating "G":

This rating means that the movie is acceptable for all ages and is intended for a general audience.

Rating "PG":

This rating means that parental guidence is suggested and some of the content may not be suitable for children.

Rating "PG-13":

This rating means that parental guidence is strongly suggested and some of the content may not be suitable for children under the age of 13.

Rating "R":

The rating of R means that children under the age of 17 must be either accompied by an adult or have a parental permission card from the theatre box office. The Vinton Palace Theatre policy for R rated movies is as follows: A parent (or legal guardian) may come to the Palace box office in person, no phone calls or notes (no exceptions), and obtain a parental permission card stating that they give their children between the ages of 14 (or 8th grade) and 17 years permission to see an R rated movie. This is the only way a child under the age of 17 can see a movie without an adult present.

Rating "NC-17":

This rating means that no one under the age of 17 will be allowed to see the movie.
